Romp 6 - New start.
The last couple of weeks I build a new hull, Why? Because one of the sidewalls was out of line in a way that repair would mean that half the hull needed to be sanded down an build up once again without knowing of it would become OK again.
So now there is a new hull with balswood walls. The balsawood is covered with epoxy resing and glassfiber.
The new start of the second hull.
now with balswood.
So everything started again; making ribs, rebuild the hull, placing epoxy filler, sanding, epoy resin and glassfiber, sanding, filler, sanding, spraying filler, sanding, spraying primer, sanding and placing putty. A lot of work but worth after seeing the result.
the first layer of putty and epoxy putty.
A lot of work, but personally I like it.
placing the external details.
with a lot of needles and clamps it gets the result.
The first layer of epoxy putty after the epoxy resin and a glassfiber roving of 100gr.
After sanding the putty the spray filler is applied.
After another sanding, now with waterproof paper ready for the next layer of spray putty.
the primer
a last layer of putty the get the last dents away.
